Upload File
Files may be uploaded to the My Files form and are not attached to any system element. These files show
up at the bottom of the My Files table. The system element is listed as none.
File Name
The "File Name" field is automatically populated when a file is attached. This file name may be
renamed as needed by the user.
Actual File
Before a file is uploaded into the system, the "Attach File" button is visible in the "Actual File"
section. A file cannot be saved without first being attached. To attach a file, select the "Attach
File" button and an "OmniUpload box is displayed with a progress bar, a browse button and a cancel
button. To cancel out of OmniUpload, press the "Cancel" button. To attach a file to the system,
select the "Browse" button and choose the desired file. Once the file is selected, the progress
bar moves from 0% to 100% until the file is uploaded to the Document Repository. The "Actual
File" section will change from an "Attach File" button to display the file name that is waiting to be
uploaded. Any text that was input into the "File Name" field will be renamed with the actual file
name from the upload. This may be overridden by renaming the file is a different file name is
needed. If the file that was attached is not the correct file, a remove button is located to the right
of the "Actual File" so that the file may be removed. If "Remove File" is selected, the "Attach File"
button will reappear on the screen and the uploaded process is started again.
Description
The "Description" field is an optional field allowing the user to add additional information as required
for the uploaded file.
