If a device with scanner capabilities is attached to the computer, a user may access that scanner
through the Omniprise ERP System and attach a file to an entry within Omniprise. The "Scan"
button will only appear if a scanner is attached to the computer.
To add a scanned file in the "Attached Files" field, click the "Scan" button and the OmniScan
window will open.
Clicking the "Image Mode" button will scan the item as an image, which save the
file as a .png. Users can only attach one image in a file at a time when scanned in "Image Mode".
Clicking the "PDF Mode" button will scan the item as a PDF, which saves the file
as a .pdf. Users can save multiple scanned items as "pages" in a single file when the item is scanned
in "PDF Mode".
Click the "Cancel" button to cancel scanning the item.
After the item has finished scanning the "OmniScan Image" window will open with the scanned item
displayed.
In the "OmniScan Image" window, the user can edit the scan as necessary before saving the item or
uploading the item into Omniprise.
